Here’s some info and the first photo from John’s newest film “Electrick Children”. Go check out the Electrick Children Official Website by clicking HERE. JPA plays Johnny in the movie.

Here’s a short text of what the movie is about:

Rachel is a rambunctious teenager from a fundamentalist Mormon family in Utah. On Rachel’s 15th birthday, she discovers a forbidden cassette tape with rock music on it. Having never heard anything like it, Rachel has a miraculous experience.

Three months later, Rachel turns up pregnant and claims to have had an immaculate conception from listening to the music. Rachel’s parents arrange a marriage for Rachel, but Rachel runs away to the closest city, LAS VEGAS, to search for the man who sings on the cassette tape, thinking he has something to do with her mysterious pregnancy…

And here’s the first photo of JPA in the movie:

News has emerged that Patricia Arquette is set to take on the role of Jeff Buckley’s mother in Jake Scott’s upcoming biopic about the American singer-songwriter.

The film, Mystery White Boy, is scheduled for release next year and will star Reeve Carney (Snow Falling on Cedars) and John Patrick Amedori as Buckley’s singer-songwriter friend, Michael Tighe.

The film is currently in preproduction in Memphis, where Jeff Buckley accidentally drowned in May 1997 when he was just 30.

Rather confusingly, this project, which is being directed by the son of Ridley Scott, is being produced alongside another Buckley film, Greetings From Tim Buckley. The latter is being produced by Michelle Sy and Orian Williams, co-executive produced by Amy Vaughan King and executive produced by Guibert.

ATTACHED .DOC FLYER: The Family Tree – May Update

CLICK to follow THE FAMILY TREE on FACEBOOK and on TWITTER. And please tell your friends!

Dear Friends and Supporters of THE FAMILY TREE,

This is our inaugural email from THE FAMILY TREE regarding its late summer 2011 theatrical release by E One Entertainment in New York and Los Angeles. Director Vivi Friedman’s debut film features an amazing cast including Dermot Mulroney, Hope Davis, Christina Hendricks, Selma Blair, Jane Seymour, Bow Wow, Keith Carradine, Chi McBride, Max Thieriot, Brittany Robertson, Madeline Zima, Rachel Leigh Cook, Gabrielle Anwar, Evan Handler, John Amedori, Evan Ross, Jermaine Williams and Steven Grayhm. The film continues to draw great interest – and we will be providing updates on trailers, posters, interviews, reviews and release dates via Twitter, Facebook and e-mail as the release date approaches.

You have received this e-mail because you are somehow related to the film, its cast or crew, or have shown an interest in THE FAMILY TREE. As with all independent films, the ultimate success of THE FAMILY TREE depends on getting the word out – and hopefully having a string enough opening in New York and Los Angeles to warrant wider distribution this summer and fall. To that end, the entire FAMILY TREE team would be honored and appreciative if you would consider passing along this e-mail and the attached flyers (PDF and Doc) to as many friends, family members and colleagues as possible, adding us as a Twitter and Facebook fan, and helping us to especially reach people in the Los Angeles and New York City areas.

The film is funny, looks great and has been well received at film festivals including Seattle, the Hamptons, Helsinki and Wichita’s Tallgrass. We hope you will see it soon at a theater near you! Keep an eye out for our official poster, trailer and ‘red-band’ trailer, all coming soon!

Sincerely,

THE FAMILY TREE team
